Taking a Break

March 3, 2009 21:43 by Jon

The past few weeks I've been somewhat preoccupied with things going on at work (my full-time job) and in my personal life.  As a result, my trading has suffered - I've missed good opportunities, and I haven't done my due diligence on the positions that I have taken.

So I've taken a step back and am taking a bit of a break.  I'm still checking the market in the evenings, but I'm not trading.  When things settle down for me in my non-trading life and a quality setup comes along, I'll jump back in.

Until then, good trading to all!

I was beginning to wonder if you threw in the towel on this blog thing. I hope it is nothing more than just busy and that your Job and Family are well, if not you have my thoughts and prayers.

With you gone though perhaps I'll be able to pick up some pips that you left behind ;)...

I am sure we'll hear from you soon, have a nice rest...

Thanks for the kind words, Michael. Actually, all is well. I've just been really busy with work, and my wife and I welcomed our first child in February - a beautiful baby girl! So, needless to say, I've been a little distracted (but it's the good kind of distracted). Smile

I plan to get back into the swing of things with my trading sometime this month.

Good trading to you!

Well then, CONGRATULATIONS!!

Here's a blog cigar...I'll light one for you...

Be distracted as long as needed, FOREX will be here when you get back...

Congratulations on the new arrival! I can identify well with your post: my blogging fell off when our second child arrived back in September and hasn't really picked back up in earnest since. It takes some time to develop a trading rhythm that works acceptably around parenthood, just as it does with trading while you have a day job; but after some time elapses and with a bit of experimentation, you'll find that balance that accommodates trading.

Looking forward to seeing your posts resume....

I hope things will soon get back for you and that your stocks will bounce back.
